Let Diverse Cultures Become the Ocean of Cross-ethnic Communication
On October 6th, 2023, the China-Cyprus Civilization Exchange Forum was held at the University of Cyprus in Nicosia. The theme of this forum is “Exploring Harmonious Coexistence Between Civilizations and Between Humanity and Nature”. Irene Piki, Deputy Minister to the President of Cyprus, Tasos Christofides, Rector of the University of Cyprus, Zhang Jianchun, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Huang Zhijian, Chairman of China Publishing Group Co., Ltd. and Chairman of China Publishing and Media Holdings Co., Ltd. attended and addressed the forum. Zong Junfeng, Chairman of Tsinghua University Press Group (TUP) and Chairman of China University Press Association, was invited to participate in the forum and made keynote speeches at the forum.

With the theme of Let Diverse Cultures Become the Ocean of Cross-ethnic Communication, Zong Junfeng elaborated on the development of multi-civilization and multi-culture in communication. He reviewed the development of TUP and its achievements on international exchanges and cooperation, highlighting the value of book and journal publishing in the internationalization of college talent training results, global dissemination of academic achievements and cross-cultural exchanges.

Zong Junfeng said both China and Cyprus has a long history and great civilization.
