Energy Materials and Devices, an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed open-access journal sponsored by Tsinghua University and published by Tsinghua University Press (TUP), has been recently indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), part of Clarivate's Web of Science Core Collection. All articles published since the journal's launch in 2023 will be included in the ESCI database. The journal is expected to receive its first Impact Factor in June 2026.

Launched in September 2023, Energy Materials and Devices is published on SciOpen, TUP's international digital publishing platform. With Professor KANG Feiyu from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School serving as Editor-in-Chief, and Professor HE Yanbing as Executive Editor-in-Chief, the journal focuses on innovative research across the full spectrum of energy materials and devices — from basic research and technological innovation to research commercialization and industrial applications. It aims to advance energy science and contribute to global efforts in achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

In addition to being indexed in ESCI, the journal has also been included in several other major international databases, including Scopus, Inspec, DOAJ, and CAS.
