In his remarks, QIU Xianqing expressed his gratitude to the organizers for their meticulous preparation and noted that the Paris Book Festival plays a vital role in promoting cultural exchange between China and France. He noted that TUP has been a pioneer in international publishing since the 1990s, becoming one of China's first publishing houses to establish global partnerships. Recognizing the deep cultural heritage of the French publishing industry, he noted TUP's interest in maintaining ongoing exchanges with French scholars and publishing houses.
As a window for disseminating cutting-edge technology and Chinese culture, TUP has already introduced several high-quality titles to the Francophone market. QIU Xianqing noted that this themed exhibition provides an excellent opportunity for Sino-French publishing exchange, expressing his hope to deepen bilateral cooperation and introduce more of China's outstanding scientific and educational achievements to French readers.

Formerly known as the Paris Book Fair, the Paris Book Festival was founded by the French National Book Union in 1981 and is held every spring. In 2022, the event was renamed the Paris Book Festival, transitioning from a professional trade fair into an interactive exchange event for the general public. As a highly influential global cultural event, it has provided an efficient and practical platform for international publishers for many years, serving as an important bridge for mutual learning between various cultures.
