May 20, 2026

On May 12, at the 2026 World Digital Education Conference, the Artificial Intelligence General Education (AIGE) resources "Ten Lectures" and "Hundred Questions" were officially released. Guided by the Basic Education Department of the Ministry of Education, these resources were jointly developed by the Center for Artificial Intelligence General Education of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University (THU), and Tencent SSV.

Covering three school stages—primary, junior high, and senior high school—the complete resource package comprises two parts: demonstration courses of AI general education and popular science videos. Specifically, the demonstration courses of AI general education are categorized by school stage: 10 lectures for primary schools, 12 for junior high schools, and 14 for senior high schools. The popular science videos belong to the "100 Questions About Artificial Intelligence" series.

These resources are based on the textbook General AI Education for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Students published by Tsinghua University Press. This textbook establishes a coherent AI general education framework spanning primary, secondary, and tertiary education, and provides teaching resources, such as slides, lesson plans, learning guides, and practice handbooks, for free. The series is advised by academician ZHANG Bo from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, THU. Professor MA Shaoping, from the Department of Computer Science and Technology at THU, serves as the chief editor, with WANG Dong, Associate Researcher at the Beijing National Research Center for Information and Technology, THU, as the first chief editor. Frontline teachers from Tsinghua University High School, Tsinghua University Primary School, and other affiliated schools also participate in the compilation.
