Dr. JIA Haoyang, the author of Chemistry! A Magician's Journal, shares the teaching practices and pedagogy that inspired the book. She explains that it employs vivid storytelling, engaging experiments, and real-life phenomena to explain complex chemical concepts, transforming abstract abstract science into intuitive understanding. Beyond conveying knowledge, the book aims to inspire young readers to think like chemists. She hopes the series will become a window through which Vietnamese readers can discover the beauty of science in everyday life and experience its wonders.
The Vietnamese edition of Tsinghua High School General Education Series for Children, published by MCBooks earlier this year, includes four titles: Mathematics! I Think, Therefore I Am, Physics! The Power of Discovery, Biology! Wonders of Nature, and Chemistry! A Magician's Journal.
