The 2026 London Book Fair (LBF) was held at Olympia from March 10 to 12. LU Xianhe, General Editor of Tsinghua University Press (TUP), led a delegation to the fair, showcasing selected works in artificial intelligence, medicine, popular science, social sciences, and other disciplines.The exhibited titles focused on cutting-edge research and industry trends, attracting considerable attention from both the general public and industry professionals.

On March 10, LIU Yan, an acquisition editor from the Foreign Languages Division, attended the publishers' book recommendation event and highlighted Generative AI, a core textbook from the “101 Program” series for artificial intelligence education. Covering fundamental theories, frontier applications, technical implementation, and ethical considerations, the book offers a systematic introduction to generative AI. The presentation received a positive response from the audience.

On March 12, TUP and Springer Nature held a launch ceremony for the latest English volumes in the Handbook of Construction Machinery series. The event was attended by LU Xianhe, General Editor of TUP; James Finlay, Vice President, Applied Sciences Books, Springer Nature; and Stephen YEUNG, Editorial Director, STM Major Reference Works, Springer Nature. In his opening speech titled "Connecting Minds Through Pages: Sharing Chinese Wisdom with the World," LU Xianhe pointed out that this endeavor not only provides intellectual support for industrial development and the Belt and Road Initiative, but also signals that China's expertise and experience in construction machinery are now widely recognized, utilized, and respected worldwide.

On March 13, representatives from TUP visited Cambridge University Press for in-depth discussions on global book publishing trends & digital publishing practices. In his speech “Scholarship Without Borders: Reach and Resonance”, LU introduced influential academic works such as Machine Learning and outlined TUP's strategy for academic publishing. He noted that TUP is committed to building a new integrated publishing ecosystem featuring “content + digital services” and expressed expectations for future collaboration. He emphasized that “Knowledge has no borders; ideas cross linguistic divides”. He urged Chinese and international publishers to strengthen ties, using academic exchange as a bridge to build a high-quality academic publishing ecosystem together.
